Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the FDIC Claims Recovery Portal. By using the portal you agree to these terms. This is an independent claims-recovery service and is not an official website of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or any government agency.
The service
The portal lets claimants verify the status of a deposit insurance claim by entering their Case ID, review recovery details, and follow the progress of an approved payout. The portal is a status and information service: it does not replace the FDIC or any government body, and it does not create, approve, or deny claims.
Case ID and access
Access to case details is by Case ID, which is provided in the FDIC correspondence sent to you. Keep your Case ID confidential. We do not ask for a username and password on this portal.
Payouts
Approved claims are paid to the bank account on file. We never request an up-front payment, courier fee, or "release fee" from claimants. If anyone else asks you to send money first, verify the request through the support line on the contact page.
Updates and notifications
You may subscribe to status updates by email. You can stop receiving them at any time by replying STOP or by contacting support.
Liability
The portal shows information as held in the recovery system at the time of your visit. We use reasonable care to keep it accurate, but status can change as your file moves through review. This portal is provided as an information service, not as legal, financial, or tax advice.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
